Peter Burow Explains NeuroPower

peter Peter Burow Explains NeuroPower

The NeuroPower framework is a culmination of the work I have undertaken over the last 25 years which draws from evolutionary psychology, social psychology, best practice management theory and social cognitive neuroscience. I have also been deeply fascinated with and have drawn, philosophically, from the insights of ancient cultures such as the Maya Lenca in Central America, the Celts in Europe and the Upanishads from India.

The NeuroPower framework draws on the work of many leading neuroscientists and widely quotes peer-reviewed papers from many highly respected universities that provide significant insight from recent breakthroughs in neuroscience (particularly social-cognitive neuroscience), however the framework is designed to be applied through business methodologies that address people issues to solve business problems.

As our clients can attest, our recommended methodologies work and make a significant impact to their business on three levels. Firstly, they deliver improved bottom line results through enhanced teamwork, reduced conflict and improved responsiveness. Secondly, by understanding and applying the framework, individuals understand and apply methodologies that foster neural integration. On a personal basis this increases the individual’s ability to deal with complexity, abstract ideas and situations requiring high degrees of EQ and wisdom. As neural pathways and functional networks strengthen, the effective current or power (generated by neuronal depolarizations and measurable with EEG and other techniques) that pulse through these neural pathways increases. Your neuro power increases – hence the name NeuroPower. Finally, it improves the quality of relationships people have with the different aspects of themselves, with their work teams and even at home with their friends and family.

NeuroPower is not a scientific text that explains neuroscience. Instead it is a practical handbook that draws on multiple disciplines and attempts to define a perennial truth as well as core methodologies that embrace ancient philosophies, contemporary management theories and breakthroughs in social, cognitive and behavioural neuroscience.

The success of our interventions and the satisfaction of our clients is our number one objective and as such we will continue to work on bringing sciences such as cognitive and social neuroscience together with many other fields of thought. This allows us all to form a more comprehensive understanding of the drivers of human behaviour, which in turn enables us to build teams that deliver outstanding results.
